PCA

A Church True to the Bible and Obedient to Christ

The Presbyterian Church in America expresses its convictions in its motto: "Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith and Obedient to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ."

If you don't have a good Church in which to grow in the Christian faith, let me tell you about my Church. I have served as an ordained minister in it since 1977. Although the denomination was organized in 1973, its heritage goes all the way back to the Bible. You can read about it in the history portion of the PCA Home Page.

The PCA is a Church denomination that truly believes the Bible is the Word of God. We believe the Bible was inspired by God and is without error. We believe the miracles of the Bible. Through our vast missionary organization, we endeavor to obey our Lord's Great Commission given in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

The Presbyterian Church in America is REFORMED in doctrine and PRESBYTERIAN in government.

At the home page for the PCA, you can click on various links such as Missions, Covenant Seminary, Covenant College, Ridge Haven Conference and Retreat Center. In the lower left corner you can click on HOW YOU CAN HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. That is the most important link in your life. It is intended to show you how to link your life with the LORD!

If you don't have a good Church, you need one. You need fellowship with other Bible-believing Christians. You need opportunities to serve the Lord and have a part in his world-wide mission. You need the teaching from God's Word. The Bible says, "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another...." (Hebrews 10:25) Christians need one another and cannot thrive in isolation.

Ben Haden was pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga. His outreach now includes streaming audio and video messages over the worldwide internet at the web site below.

Look for a PCA Church in your community. The PCA Home Page will give you the list of all our Churches and where they are located and telephone numbers. You can use this when you are planning to travel to another city and will be there on the Lord's Day. Just click on Church Directory in the upper right hand corner of the main menu.
